Overview

12-day Langtang trek: Tamang culture, homestays, and 5,050m views. A sustainable, guided Himalayan journey of adventure and spirituality.

Description

The Langtang Valley Trek in Nepal is a scenic and culturally rich journey that offers a deep connection with both nature and local mountain life. The trail passes through lush forests of rhododendron and bamboo, cascading waterfalls, and traditional Tamang and Sherpa villages influenced by Tibetan culture. As you ascend through the Langtang National Park, the views open up to reveal stunning snow-clad peaks, including Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, and Ganesh Himal. The trek culminates in Kyanjin Gompa, a serene village surrounded by majestic mountains, where trekkers can explore ancient monasteries and climb nearby viewpoints for panoramic vistas of the Himalayas. Despite being close to Kathmandu, the Langtang Valley offers a true sense of wilderness, tranquility, and cultural authenticity.

Commitment to safety and experience

We prioritize safety, especially given the challenging nature of the Langtang Heritage Trail and the risk of altitude sickness. Before you book the trip with us, we offer you training guidelines and other important information to help you complete the trek successfully.

Experienced and Licensed Guides

We emphasize our guides' extensive experience, with some having completed the Langtang Heritage trek over 100 times. These guides are government-licensed and trained in high-altitude trekking and first aid. They are crucial for navigation, especially where paths might not be evident, and for ensuring trekkers' well-being by monitoring health and altitude acclimatization.

Acclimatization Focus

Itineraries are carefully designed with rest days and gradual ascents to help trekkers adjust to the altitude, following principles like "climb high, sleep low".

Emergency Preparedness

Guides carry emergency kits and oximeters, and companies assist with rescue and evacuation arrangements.  However, we recommend having insurance to cover the cost of rescue and evacuation. Your personal travel consultant will give all the necessary information about the insurance before booking the trip.

Reliable Support Teams

We often provide porters who carry luggage, easing the physical burden on trekkers. We support the local economy by hiring porters who can later become guides.

Comprehensive and Transparent Services

We offer all-inclusive packages to simplify the trek planning with no hidden costs.

All-Inclusive Pricing

Services often include airport pickup and drop-off, accommodation, and all meals during the trek, a welcome and farewell dinner, permits (Langtang National Park and Local Permit), and trekking guide and porter services. We state "No Hidden Costs" and "transparent, all-inclusive pricing". Please see the included services for detailed information on what is included.

Accommodation and Meals

We provide comfortable accommodation in hotels in Kathmandu and in tea houses during the trek, often on a twin-sharing basis. All meals are included during the trek, while breakfast is included in Kathmandu. We also host welcome and farewell dinners.

Permit Handling

The company manages obtaining necessary trekking permits, entrance fees, etc., making the process hassle-free for guests.

Flexibility and Customer Service

The company aims to cater to individual needs and offer strong customer support.

Customizable Itineraries

We offer carefully curated itineraries that can be designed or customized to match clients' preferences and schedules.

Flexible Bookings

Options for partial booking, pre-bookings for future years (e.g., 2026, 2027), and flexible cancellation policies are available. We are ready and committed to help you in any way we can to match your requirements.

24/7 Customer Support

We boast 24/7 customer service and guides available throughout the trek.

Personalized Experience

We offer private trekking options, allowing trekkers to go at their own pace without rushing or waiting for others.

Authentic Cultural Immersion

Beyond the physical challenge, we emphasize the cultural aspect of the trek, helping you to soak in authentic cultural experiences.

Community Engagement

We show a dedication to supporting local businesses and promoting eco-friendly tourism practices, often partnering with locally owned teahouses.

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, our Green Getaways representative will warmly welcome you with a personalized sign and assist with your transfer to the hotel in the city. Enjoy a comfortable ride in a private, air-conditioned vehicle, ensuring a smooth and stress-free start to your journey. In the evening, we host a welcome dinner with cultural performances in Kathmandu.

This day is reserved primarily for rest and acclimatization after your flight. Should you wish to explore Kathmandu independently, you are welcome to do so at your leisure. Please note that no official guide services will be provided during this time; however, our team remains available to assist via phone for any questions or concerns you might have while exploring. Visiting local sights on arrival day is entirely optional; feel free to relax and prepare for the days ahead.
